Part C — Composition (Marks 30)
9. Write a paragraph on any one of the following topic:
(a) Gender Discrimination
Gender discrimination refers to the unequal and unfair treatment of individuals based on their gender. It is a widespread social problem, especially in many developing countries like Bangladesh. In our society, women and girls are often the worst victims of this discrimination right from their birth. Many parents tend to prefer male children, thinking that sons will support them in their old age, while daughters are considered a financial burden. Consequently, girls are often deprived of proper education, balanced nutrition, and adequate healthcare. Even in the workplace, women sometimes face unequal pay and limited opportunities for promotion compared to their male counterparts. This discrimination severely hinders the overall development of a nation because women constitute almost half of the population. No country can progress by leaving half of its population behind in the dark. To eliminate gender discrimination, we must change our narrow social outlook. The government and mass media should create public awareness. We must ensure equal rights, education, and opportunities for both men and women to build a prosperous nation.
(b) Price Hike
Price hike means the unusual and sudden increase in the prices of daily necessary commodities. It is one of the most serious problems in Bangladesh right now. The prices of all essential goods like rice, oil, sugar, vegetables, and medicines have gone beyond the purchasing capacity of the common people. There are several reasons behind this price hike. The main reason is the syndicates of dishonest businessmen and hoarders who create artificial crises in the market to make a huge profit. Besides, shortage of supply, inflation, corrupt market monitoring, and disruption in the global supply chain also contribute to this problem. Due to the price hike, the poor and middle-class people are suffering miserably. They are struggling to manage even two square meals a day. It is high time the government took stern action against the dishonest hoarders and syndicates. Regular market monitoring and increasing the supply of essential commodities are necessary to control the price hike and relieve the common people.

To
The Principal,
[Name of Your Madrasha],
Dhaka.
Subject: Prayer for a seat in the Madrasha hostel.
Respected Sir,
I beg most respectfully to state that I am a regular student of Fazil 1st year in your renowned Madrasha. Recently, my father, who is a government employee, has been transferred from Dhaka to Cumilla. My family has already shifted there. But I want to continue my studies in your esteemed institution. Since I have no close relatives in Dhaka, it has become quite impossible for me to reside here without a hostel accommodation. I am facing a lot of difficulties regarding my daily meals and safe lodging, which is hampering my studies severely.
I, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to allot me a seat in the Madrasha hostel as early as possible so that I can continue my studies smoothly.
Yours obediently,
[Your Name]

Write a letter to your elder brother telling him about your progress of studies.
Mirpur, Dhaka
12 June 2026
Dear Brother,
At first, take my cordial love. I hope you are well by the grace of Almighty Allah. I am also fine. In your last letter, you wanted to know about the progress of my studies. Now I am writing to you about it.
You know that my Fazil 1st-year final examination is knocking at the door. I am studying hard to make a good result. I have already completed the syllabus of all my subjects including Al-Quran, Al-Hadith, and Arabic. Now I am revising them thoroughly. However, I was a bit weak in English grammar and Translation, but I have overcome this problem with the help of my class teacher. I am taking model tests regularly and getting good marks. So, I am confident that I will be able to score GPA 4.00 or above in the upcoming exam.
Please pray for me so that I can achieve my goal. No more today. Convey my best regards to parents and love to the younger ones.
Your loving brother,

11. Write a dialogue between two friends on ‘Climate Change’.
A dialogue between two friends on Climate Change:
Myself: Hello Hasan! How are you?
Hasan: I am fine. What about you?
Myself: I am also fine. But I am very worried about the recent excessive heat and sudden floods in our country.
Hasan: You are right. The weather is changing rapidly. This is basically the effect of climate change.
Myself: Exactly. But what are the main reasons behind this climate change?
Hasan: We, the human beings, are mostly responsible for it. Deforestation, rapid industrialization, and the burning of fossil fuels are increasing greenhouse gases like Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
Myself: Yes, and these gases are trapping heat, causing global warming.
Hasan: True. Because of global warming, the ice in the polar regions is melting rapidly, and the sea level is rising.
Myself: If it continues, many low-lying countries like Bangladesh will go under water soon. It will also destroy agriculture and wildlife.
Hasan: That’s really alarming! We must take immediate steps to stop this.
Myself: What can we do to prevent it?
Hasan: We have to plant more trees, stop cutting down forests, and reduce the use of plastic and fossil fuels. We should use renewable energy like solar power.
Myself: You are absolutely right. Creating public awareness is also very important.
Hasan: Yes, let’s start planting trees from today and make others aware of this danger.
Myself: Good idea. Thank you for the informative discussion.
Hasan: You are welcome. See you later.
Write a dialogue between You and the Physician about your illness.
A dialogue between a patient (myself) and a physician:

Physician: Good evening. Yes, please come in and have a seat. What’s your problem?
Myself: Thank you, doctor. I have been suffering from a severe fever since yesterday morning.
Physician: I see. Do you have any other symptoms like a headache or cough?
Myself: Yes, I have a terrible headache and my whole body is aching. I also feel very weak.
Physician: Let me check your temperature first. (Checks temperature) Your temperature is 102 degrees. It’s quite high. Do you feel shivering?
Myself: Yes, especially at night. Is it Dengue or something serious?
Physician: Don’t worry. It seems like a viral fever, which is very common in this season. But to be sure, I am prescribing a blood test. You should get it done tomorrow morning.
Myself: Okay, doctor. What about medicines?
Physician: I am prescribing some medicines for the fever and body ache. Take a paracetamol tablet three times a day after meals. And you must drink plenty of fluids and take complete rest.
Myself: I will do that. Should I avoid any specific food?
Physician: Try to avoid oily and spicy foods. Eat easily digestible foods like soup and fresh fruits.
Myself: Thank you so much for your advice, doctor.
Physician: You’re welcome. Show me the blood test report tomorrow. Take care.
Myself: Goodbye, doctor.
