(a) The Impact of Climate Change

Climate change is one of the most severe threats facing the modern world. It refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns, primarily caused by human activities such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial emissions. The impacts of climate change are widespread and devastating. Global warming leads to the melting of polar ice caps, resulting in a rise in sea levels that threatens coastal cities and low-lying countries like Bangladesh. Furthermore, it causes extreme weather events like hurricanes, prolonged droughts, and heavy floods, severely affecting agriculture and food security worldwide. Many species of flora and fauna are on the verge of extinction due to habitat loss and changing ecosystems. To mitigate the impact of climate change, immediate global action is required. We must transition to renewable energy sources, plant more trees, and adopt sustainable lifestyles to protect our planet for future generations.

10. Write an application to the principal of your madrasah requesting him for permission to set up an “English Debating Club” at the madrasah.

15 January 2022
The Principal,
Dhaka Fazil Madrasah, Dhaka.

Subject: Prayer for permission to set up an English Debating Club.

Sir,
We, the students of your madrasah, beg most respectfully to state that our madrasah is one of the best institutions in the district. We have many facilities here, but there is no English Debating Club. We know that English is an international language, and a debating club is essential to improve our spoken English, remove our hesitation, and develop our argumentative skills. Many of us are highly interested in taking part in debates. If an English Debating Club is established, it will help us become fluent speakers and confident individuals.

We, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to grant us permission to set up an English Debating Club in the madrasah compound and oblige thereby.

Yours obediently,
The students of Dhaka Fazil Madrasah.

Or,

10. Write an application to the principal of your madrasah to set up a canteen in the madrasah compound.

15 January 2022
The Principal,
Dhaka Fazil Madrasah, Dhaka.

Subject: Prayer for setting up a canteen in the madrasah compound.

Sir,
We, the students of your madrasah, beg to draw your kind attention to the fact that we have been suffering greatly for want of a canteen in our madrasah compound. Our madrasah begins at 9:00 am and breaks at 4:00 pm. During the recess, we feel very hungry and thirsty. As there is no canteen inside the compound, many students have to take food from roadside hawkers, which is unhygienic and causes various diseases. A well-managed canteen can provide us with fresh and healthy food at a reasonable price, ensuring the good health of the students.

We, therefore, pray and hope that you would kindly take the necessary steps to set up a hygienic canteen in the madrasah compound as soon as possible and oblige thereby.

Yours obediently,
The students of Dhaka Fazil Madrasah.
